Obituary of Carmela Bressan
Peacefully at the age of 91 on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 surrounded by family at her home. Beloved wife, best friend, and lifetime companion to the late Luigi (2005) for 52 years.
Cherished mother of Mario (Rosaria), Maria, and Roberto (Lorena) Bressan. Precious Nonna to Isaiah Luigi (Natalie), Stephanie Carmela Romel (Jordan), and Sarah Lorenzina (Nic Turco); Liliana (Lucas Chiarello), Adriana, Tiana, and Lorenzo Luigi Bressan. Precious Bis-Nonna to Milo Mario Bressan.
Daughter of the late Lorenzo and Santa Borean. The second of five sisters and two brothers. Sister of late Teresina (late Elio) Cesco, late Cesira (late Umberto) Molinari, late Lorenzina (late Maggiorino) Trevisan, Maria (Dino) Santin, late Mario and late Giaccinto Borean all of Italy.
Daughter-in-law of the late Attilio and Teresa Bressan. Sister-in-law of the late Gina (late Giovanni) Nardo, Maria (late Rudolpho) Marson, Tarcisio (Natalina) Bressan, Giannina (late Giancinto) Mozzon, Iole (late Ettore) Piazza, Luciano (Natalina) Bressan, Giuseppe (Virginia) Bressan, Lucia (Ugo) Santin, and the late Santina Bressan. Loving Zia to many nieces and nephews in Italy. Special cousin to the Boreans, Flumians, and the Morettins of the Sault.
Carmela was a strong devoted hard-working mother who never believed in procrastination. She was a woman of faith and longtime parishioner of St. Gregory’s Parish. Her sense of love, peace, kindness, sacrifice, humour and compassion will long be remembered by her children and grandchildren. Carmela will be missed by many dear relatives, friends, and neighbours.
Due to Covid-19, a private family service was held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758). A private funeral mass was held at St. Gregory’s Church with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the SAH Renal Care Fund, Group Health Center INR Clinic, St. Gregory’s Parish Building Fund, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
Carmela’s life motto was ‘Do everything with the love of God.’
