Obituary of Gerard Groetelaars
GROETELAARS-Gerard “Gerry” formerly of Port Colborne, passed away peacefully in his 95th year with family at his side on Friday June 19, 2020 at Bella Senior Care Residence. Beloved husband of the late Alida. Loving Dad of Cathy Lampman, Len Groetelaars, Bert Groetelaars and his wife Wanda and Janet Pagetto and her husband Jim. Dear Opa of his grandchildren Adam Lampman (Nila), Matthew Lampman (Ilana), Cara Lampman (Jake), Brittney Groetelaars (Garett), Kiana England (Matt), Mitchell Pagetto (Amanda) and Karlie Pagetto (Carter) as well as his great grandchildren Griffis Lampman, Wynsor Lampman, Graham England, Jack Lampman, Alida Benson and Charlie England. Gerry will be especially missed by his dear friend Chris Haley and he is survived by many sisters. Predeceased by his son-in-law Ed Lampman. Fondly remembered by his many friends and extended family. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Bella Senior Care Residence for their loving care of Dad over the years. A private family service will be held and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
