December 16, 1945 – June 16, 2020
With only fond and loving memories to cherish, we, the family of Minnie Street (Tilley) are deeply saddened to announce her passing. Minnie passed peacefully at the Bonavista Peninsula Health Center on June 16, 2020 with her loving family by her side.
Minnie loved the simple things in life; a game of bingo, going to a card game with her husband, and the company of family and friends. There was never a visitor that left without a cup of tea and a lunch.
Minnie showed strength and determination throughout her illness and fought like a warrior to beat it. She maintained her faith in God, and this gives us great comfort knowing the grand welcome she received in Heaven.
Left with broken hearts are her loving Husband of 57 years, Alfred Street; 4 children, Paul (Juanita), John (Colleen), Jeanette (Ken), Jason (Renee), and a very special sister in law, Sarah. 7 Grandchildren who were her pride and joy; Pamela, Jonathan, Brandon, Alana, Jessica, Rylan and Madelyn, and her 3 adorable Great Grandchildren, Felix, Samuel, and Jane.
Sharing in our sorrow are Sisters Evelyn and Yvonne; Brothers Albert (Harriet), Alvin (Margaret), Hansel (Debbie); Sister in laws, Helena, Ann (Wilson), Millicent (Clayton); many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially her wonderful friend and bingo buddy Margaret.
Minnie was predeceased by Parents Samuel and Eunice Tilley, Brother Warren Tilley, Brother in Law Ray Street, and Nephew Joshua Tilley. Our sadness is their happiness, they will be reunited once again.
Special thanks to Doctors and Nurses at the Bonavista Hospital. Your empathy, kindness and compassion will forever be remembered.
Memorial Service to be announced at a later date.
“We will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you in Heaven”
