Seidemann, Udo Wolf
With broken hearts we announce the passing of Udo Wolf Seidemann on May 29th, 2020.
Predeceased by his parents, he was the youngest of his siblings Ute (Jerry) and Dieter ( Shelly). He also leaves to mourn his wife Monique, and daughters Michelle (Iain) and Liza (Todd). Udo was a grandfather to Cody, Skyler, Alexandra, Jacob and Cameron. He was also a great grandfather to Kylie, Everett and Erick.
Udo was a lifelong soccer enthusiast (player, coach, fan) and was always excited to cheer the German National team to World Cup Victory! His spirits were lifted in the last few weeks when he was able to watch the Bundesliga soccer league (who had resumed their season), amidst the pandemic.
He also took great pleasure in betting on and winning a game of cribbage. He almost always ended his games with his favourite quote; “Pay your debts and be respected”.
Although his heart failed him, his spirit will live on through his family and friends.
A special thank you to the Wellington Palliative Care Unit. A profound thanks to his primary nurse, Louise. Her compassion and care made it possible for Udo to spend his final weeks in the comfort of his own home.
A private family celebration of life will be held later in the summer.
If you wish, you can make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in his memory.
