SAULNIER, Jeanette Margerite – Age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 6, 2020 in Foyer Celeste, Meteghan. She was the last survivor of her family. Born in Woodvale, she was a daughter of the Norman and Marguerite (Saulnier) Maillet. She will be remembered for her many community involvements including Salmon River Parish Council, Foyer École St. Albert, Les Dames Patronesses, Mavilette Seniors Club, Clare and Valley Senior Games, etc. She was a long time employee of Meteghan Home Furnishings.
She is survived by daughters, Alphonsine (Louisette), Anita; sons, Kenneth (Marie) and Norman (Lila); 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by husband, Alphonse; sisters, Hazel, Beatrice, Frances; brothers, George and Roy.
Arrangements are under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home, where due to the current provincial restrictions put in place for the Covid-19 Pandemic, private visitations and graveside service will be held in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Salmon River, officiated by Rev. Honoré Kouassi.
