Helen could best be described as a quiet, humble, and gentle women who always put others first. She possessed a strong and consistent Christian faith and never wavered from the hope of spending Eternity with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
They say opposites attract and this was proven true during Helen’s 55 year marriage to Fred Cameron. There was never a doubt that they were the love of each others lives. Family was important to Helen, especially her 3 children and 7 grandchildren. She also took a keen interest in her brothers and sisters and their families; always eager to hear the latest success stories from her extended family.
Helen and Fred enjoyed retirement as Snowbirds in Lakeland, Florida where they became heavily involved in community and volunteer activities. Volunteering and service were important to Helen and she instilled the value of hard work and service in her children.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Joan’s Homecare, Meadow Valley Special Care Home and particularly staff at Kings Way Care Center who provided outstanding and selfless care for Mom in her later years. You are truly special people!!
