MCpl Michael Freeman Grant CD
1960-2020
It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of
MCpl Michael Freeman Grant CD of Newburg NB at the age of 60. Michael
was born in Woodstock NB on March 12, 1960.
He is survived by his mother, Gail Freeman, Halifax NS,
brother, Dana Edward Grant (K. Murphy) Cambridge ON, sister,
Jacqueline Grant Desrochers, Herring Cove NS, Michael’s much
loved niece, Hannah Elizabeth Desrochers. He also leaves behind his
uncles, Brian (Rosalyn) Grant, Terry (Judith) Grant, Keith Grant,
Steven (Claudette) Grant, Mackie Grant, aunts, Lois Crawford, Beatrice
Grant, Brenda Grant and several
cousins.
Michael was predeceased by his father, Winston L. Grant,
paternal grandparents, John Grant and Evelyn Grant, maternal
grandparents, Edward Freeman and Marjorie Freeman, uncles, Weldon,
Lawrence, Robert Grant and his cousins Dwayne, Lee and
Jason.
CAF Retired Army MCpl Michael Grant did two tours overseas
and served his country proudly with honour and
distinction.
A courageous warrior who battled for many years to stay just
a little longer on earth. You will remain forever in our hearts, rest
easy soldier « Stand Fast »
Interment will be held in the Canterbury Cemetery and
Annapolis Royal at a later date.
Donations can be made to the Veterans Fund/Northwood Inc
