Virginia Lee Gunn (Rae)
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Virginia Gunn (nee Rae). After a short and courageous battle with cancer, Virginia left us on December 12, 2019.
Predeceased by her parents Ed and Irene Rae and sister Bonnie (Wayne) Smith.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband Jim, her uncle Gary (Marilyn) Rae, sister Barbara Rae (Gerry Lalonde), brothers Bob (Val) Rae, Garfield (Cheryl) Rae, sister-in-law Cynthia (John) Follett, brother-in-law Bruce (Edie) Gunn, and special friends Carol (Lloyd) Smith and Debbie (Eric) Ethier. She is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews and their beautiful children.
Virginia was an exceptionally loving, kind and caring person to all those who knew her. She will be missed greatly by family and friends.
Friends are invited to visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Parkway), Ottawa, on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 1 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca), or the charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
