SAULNIER, Shirley Marie – age 57, South Ohio, Yarmouth Co. It is with heavy hearts that we lay to rest our beloved Shirley Saulnier. She passed away peacefully in her husband’s arms in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 14 after courageous battle with cancer. Born August 25, 1962 in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Viola (Wesley) Gabriel. Shirley overcame a lot of life’s challenges and graduated with her LPN nursing class in June of 2010. She was currently working at Yarmouth Regional Hospital (4-North) as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Shirley had the heart of an angel and it reflected in her career as a nurse. Shirley had very strong family values and she so often placed others before herself. Her passion was her family, and she loved her children and grandchildren so dearly. She took great pride in her career as a nurse – a job that suited her loving and caring personality so well. Shirley had a strong faith in her religion and she was a member of Evangel Assembly, Yarmouth. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, knitting and shopping. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Dustin Saulnier and her three loving children, Tinesha Moulaison, Yarmouth; Andress Moulaison (fiancé, Ryan); Jamal Gabriel, Punbico; grandchildren, Keauna Moulaison, Kayden Moulaison, D’Andre MacIntosh and Dreysen Boudreau, as well as by sisters, Patricia “Patsy” Wesley, Halifax; Lillian (George) Gaudon, Stephenville, NF; Ruth (Clarence) Miller, Saint John, NB; Alberta Eatmon, Winnipeg, MB; Emilie Dalton, Yarmouth; Laura Smith (Rob Greenslade), Yarmouth; brothers, Albert “Manny” Gabriel, Ottawa, ON and Leonard Gabriel (Stella MacCaulay), Yarmouth. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Carol Gabriel. Visitation will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., Friday, December 20, both at Evangel Assembly, Parade Street, Yarmouth, Pastor Nathan Hill officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M.
