Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on December 8th, 2019 in her 98th year. Ruth Kennedy beloved wife of the late Frank William Melvanin. Loving mother of Richard (Susan Collins), Susan (Roger Town), and Anne Sanders all of Port Hope. Much loved grandmother of Paul Melvanin (Carolee), Dawn Baines, Leah Sanders (Alex Hurley), Jeffery Sanders, Mark Sanders, Heather Town (Matthew) and Martin Town (Britt). Great Grandmother of Meghan and Eve Melvanin, Brayden, and Grace Baines, and Oona Hurley. Dear sister of the late John Kennedy. Special aunt of her many nieces and nephews. She will also be fondly remembered by Jan Melvanin, and Colin Sanders.
Friends are invited to call at the Ross Funeral Chapel, Port Hope on Monday from 7 until 9 p.m.
Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday December 17th at 1 p.m.
