It is with great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our father, Nono and Zio, surrounded by his family by his side on Wednesday, December 11th, 2019 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Angelina Franco (Argiro) predeceased. Loving father of Cosimina Martel (Gerry), Mary Casselman and Vincenzo (Gisele). Cherished Nono of Jason (Stephanie), Adam (Meranda) and Michael (Caitlyn), Angela and Myllissa. Dear son of Vincenzo and Annunziata Franco both predeceased. Dear brother of Maria Teresa (Fortuno) both predeceased, Elizabeth (Cosimo) both predeceased, Francesca (Salvatori) both predeceased, Giuseppe predeceased, Rita (Carlo Aragona predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Pietro was born in Riace, Italy. He married Angelina in 1955 and they immigrated to Canada in 1960 with two children. Son Vincenzo was born 5 years later. Pietro was a hard worker and enjoyed storytelling to his family and friends. He loved making wine and enjoyed his garden. The greatest joy was his children and grandchildren.

Interment in the family plot at the Civic Cemetery, Sudbury.
