McKenna, Mildred “Mickey”
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mildred McKenna (nee Swann) on December 2, 2019 at the Juravinski Hospital in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Melvin. Loving mother of Patrick (Bonnie), Lynda Klaas (Achim), and Michael (Sandy von Ellm). Dearest grandmother of Chad (Erin), Samantha (Frank), Aaron (Jinetta), Ryan (Leigh), Nathan (Julie), Maria, and Liam. Great-grandmother of Nicholas, Matthew, Jessica, and Victoria. Predeceased by her brother George Green. Survived by her siblings Kenneth Swann, Clifford Swann, and Betty Henry. Mildred was a WW II veteran, and a lifetime member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 163.
Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Ave., between Mohawk and Fennell) on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Parish (Our Lady of Lourdes site, 416 Mohawk Rd. E.) on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
