Obituary for Kenneth Adam Mohart
After a fierce battle with cancer, Ken passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 15, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.
Beloved husband of Janice, loving and devoted father of Gabrielle and Alexandra. Cherished son of Marlene Mohart, predeceased by Kenneth Alan Mohart Senior. Dear brother of Mandy Mohart, Richard Armstrong, Cheryl Armstrong, and Robert Armstrong.
Ken loved the outdoors and camping, even if it was just a night outside on the deck listening to music. As a music lover, Ken went to many live shows. Many of the tickets he won from various radio stations, turning winning radio contests into an art form. As an animal lover, Ken was never without a dog or two. Cooking came effortlessly for him, and his wife and children will greatly miss all the great meals he cooked. Ken was the owner of Izabel’s Restaurant in Waterdown, recently featured on the show You Gotta Eat Here.
A very special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton for their exceptional care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Ken can be made to St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King St. EAST, Dundas, ON (additional parking at the Air Force Club).
