Obituary of Joyce Charlotte (Richards) Estabrooks
Joyce Charlotte (Richards) Estabrooks, 89, of Moncton, NB passed away peacefully on December 15th in the Moncton Hospital with her family by her side.
Born in Midgic N.B. on September 1, 1930, Joyce was the first child of the late Wynema (Hicks) and George Richards.
Beloved mother of Larry (Lise), Lindsay (Krys), Gregory (Murielle), Marcia Geden, Anita Leslie (Brian) and Monica Stoilov (Damian). Joyce is also survived by her sister, Juanita Richard. Joyce was grandmother to nineteen, great-grandmother to fourteen and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Lebaron Estabrooks; her parents, as well as by her siblings, Charles Richards, Sally Ball and Jeannette Walter.
Gramma Joyce loved playing board games and watching television documentaries with her grandchildren. She spent many an evening playing her favorite game, Scrabble, of which she was the uncontested champion.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Joyce’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. Interment in the Sackville Cemetery, next to her husband Floyd, will take place at a later date.
