Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Thursday, December 19, 2019 with his loving wife at his side. John Poirier in his 87th year loving husband of Margaret. Dear father of Jeffrey Poirier and Wanda Poirier. Adored grandfather of Nicholas Hatch, Jonathon Poirier, Victoria Weatherston and Sandy Weatherston. John will be remembered by his sister Helen (the late Sam) Di Girolamo and also his brother Martin (Claire) Poirier. Predeceased by his siblings Florence, Martin, Kay, Rita, Beatrice and William. Friends and family will be received at the KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS HALL 93 Bercy Street, Barrie on Friday, January 3 from 6 – 9 p.m. The Rosary will be led by the Knights of Columbus Council 1626 at 5:30 p.m. Parish prayers will be at 8:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 65 Amelia Street, Barrie on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 10 o’clock.
