It is with broken hearts that the
family of the late JAMES B. MURPHY of
Little Bay announces his passing. James passed away at the
Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Sunday, December
1st, 2019 at the age of 79. Leaving
to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his sons, David
Murphy of Ontario, and Gordon Murphy (Denise) of Winterland;
daughters, Carol Ann Alexander (Gerard) of Glovertown, Beverley Murphy
of St. John’s, Karen White (Shawn) of Little Bay, and
Maureen Saunders (Ian) of Gander; 11 grandchildren; 3
great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Murphy of Little Bay, and Betty
Walsh (Bart) of Little Bay; brothers, Alphonsus Murphy (Margaret) of
Marystown, Thomas Murphy (Velma) of Manitoba, and Eugene Murphy of
Little Bay; sisters-in-law, Marion Murphy of Little Bay, Thelma Murphy
of St. John’s, and Violet Murphy of Spanish Room; plus a
large circle of extended family and friends. James was
predeceased by his wife, Priscilla Murphy; son, Keith Murphy; parents,
Alphonsus & Elizabeth Murphy; daughter-in-law, Isabelle
Murphy; brothers, Matthew, Edward, John & Ignatius Murphy; and
sister, Monnie Hanrahan.
The Murphy Family will be accepting
visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Marystown on Monday,
December 2nd from 10:30 am to 9:00
pm. A Prayer Vigil to take place on Monday, December
2nd at 8:00 pm. Mass of
Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church
in Marystown on a date and time to be announced. Interment
to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Little Bay.

gratefully accepted.
