George Edward Gaudet
1941-2019
Peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Queen Elizabeth
Hospital on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 of George Edward Gaudet of
Stratford, age 78. Dear husband of Elaine (Murphy) Gaudet and loving
father of Mark (Danita Malone), Colin (Wendy Bruce) and Maria Paquet
(Jeff). Grandfather of Ben and Sophie Gaudet; Kate, Callie and Claire
Ramsay; and William and Charlotte Paquet. George is survived by his
brothers – Harry (Sandra), Frank (Bunty Albert – deceased), John
(Germaine); sisters – Patricia O’Shea (John), Judie Goulden
(Ken), Ginny MacDonald and Denise Gaudet-MacPhail (Keith);
brothers-in-law – Lea Murphy (Gwendy), Clair Murphy (Mary Ellen) and
Leo Kelly (Carmen); sisters-in-law – Phyllis Duffy (Mike), Pauline
Sutow (Elliott) and Brenda MacNeil (Mike). He was predeceased by son –
Shawn; parents – Harold and Patricia « Lady » (Gray) Gaudet;
parents-in-law – Oswald and Mary Murphy; sister-in-law – Sheila Kelly
and brothers-in-law – John and Bernard Murphy. Resting at Hillsboro
Funeral Home, Stratford for visitation on Sunday, December 29, 2019
from 4-7 pm. The Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service at
3:30 p.m. prior to visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated on
Monday, December 30, 2019 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church,
Stratford at 10:30 am. Interment will take place later at the church
cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the
Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
