Obituary of Gail Mary-Anne Donivan
DONIVAN, Gail Mary-Anne (née Longpre) At the age of 63 years, of Chapleau, Ontario passed away unexpectedly on Saturday December 7, 2019. Gail was born to the late Gaston and Annie Longpre (née McGregor) on June 18, 1956.
Gail is survived by her loving, devoted husband and best friend Fred Donivan, her fur baby Maggie, three children Jennifer (Dan), Jody (Gilles), Willy (Julia), her extra special granddaughter Meghan, her six grandsons Bailey, Jordan, Joshua, Jonah, Evan, Logan, two grand-fur babies Famous and Kolby and her siblings Richard Longpre (Chris), Aline Barnes, Rita Iturregui, Joyce Dillon (late Lawrence Dillon), predeceased by Lloyd McGregor and Earl Longpre as well as many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Family and friends were Gail’s passion and delight. She spent her summers gardening, crafting, woodworking, painting, fishing, entertaining and enjoyed a challenging puzzle in her downtime. Gail was also well known as a contributing member of the Silver Sneakers Senior’s Group with whom she enjoyed many activities and trips. It was also a well known fact that Gail enjoyed frequenting the bingo and/or casino with “the girls”.
In honour of Gail’s wishes, visitation and a Memorial Mas,s followed by a light lunch will take place at the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday December 14th, 2019. Visitation will take place from10:00 to 10:50 a.m., with the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Reverend Hervé Sauvé.
In lieu of flowers, the family are asking for all donations to be made to the Chapleau Health Services Hospital Foundation in honour of Gail Donivan.
