Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Consuelo Canapi Causing of Edmonton, Alberta on November 21, 2019.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Carrie (Jeff) and Christine (Sheldon); grandchildren, Kai, Sloane and Zaira; as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Sergio; brothers, Elias and Antonio, and sister, Aurora.
Consuelo was born in Tuguegarao, Philippines to Elias and Caridad Canapi and was the youngest of 4 children. She completed her nursing degree at the Chinese General Hospital, School of Nursing in Manila, Philippines. She subsequently received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a Major in Teaching from the Philippine Women’s University. With her best friend, Lydia, she moved to the US then Canada to work as a nurse in different cities/towns including Montreal, Que., Sydney Mines, NS, Pincher Creek, AB and Edmonton, AB. She worked for the Royal Alexandra Hospital in the Emergency Department in Edmonton for over 25 years whereshe formed many friendships. Mom (aka Mommy Connie, Grandma Connie) will be remembered for her generosity, quick wit, light-hearted humor, infectious laugh and funny stories. She will be deeply and profoundly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
