Cindy’s Obituary
De Mings, Cindy June – 60, of North East Point passed away peacefully at home November 30, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Ted and Carol (Smith) Bateman. Cindy was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by Arnold, her loving husband of 43 years; her son, Arnold Robert of Valleyfield, NL; daughters, Jennifer Foster (Rickey) of Sable River and Michelle Nickerson (Raymond) of Clark’s Harbour; grandchildren, Dommanick De Mings, Jaxon Foster, Jayda Foster, Kyle Nickerson and Rayleigh Nickerson; brother, Scott Bateman; sisters, Marsha Bateman, Carole Rose Bateman, Bertha Bateman and Tammy Bateman. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Natalie Bateman. Over the years Cindy was employed at Clearwater Seafood’s, Sea Life Fisheries and RJM Fisheries Limited. Cindy was a woman of many passions. She was a talented artist who specialized in pencil sketches which seemed to make the subjects jump out as if with real life. She had a profound love of nature and animals which was also portrayed in her art. Cindy was an avid gardener spending countless hours nurturing beautiful flowers and shrubs. As a young girl she briefly played drums in a small band. Her love of music lasted throughout her life. Cindy was a very kind and compassionate woman that dearly loved and enjoyed her family. A celebration of Cindy’s life will be on Friday, December 6 at the Barrington Area Lion’s Club at 2 pm. Pastor Cindy Dunnett officiating. Interment in Atlantic Cemetery, Stoney Island. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M.
