Obituary
Carolyn Anne Fink (nee Roe), born 12 July 1943, passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on December 23, 2019.
Beloved wife of 49 years to Dave Fink, mother to Sheryl (Rob Nadolny) and Rob (Martha Emonts) and sister to Paul Roe (Kim) . Predeceased by her father, Jack Roe, mother, Frances Roe, and brother Gary. Remembered fondly by her numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
Carolyn graduated from the University of Toronto and worked as a home care physiotherapist while raising a family in Innerkip, Ontario. She loved kayaking, hiking and taking photographs in Algonquin Park, where she met her husband on Canoe Lake. A talented artist, she enjoyed painting with watercolours and belonged to several art groups over the years. She was an avid swimmer, and life-long member of the YMCA. Proud member of the Bonfield and District Lions Club, she enjoyed volunteering for their annual ATV run and other service events.
Family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Thursday January 9, 2020 from 7-9 pm. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Paroisse Ste. Bernadette on Friday January 10, 2020 at 11 am.
Our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Margot Oleskiw, for her friendship and support. Special thanks to the staff at North Bay Regional Hospital for their ongoing care and compassion. In honour of Carolyn’s 63-year battle with Type I diabetes, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
