Obituary of Barbara Diana Burgar
Barbara Burgar beloved daughter, mother and grandmother of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the age of 69 years.
Barb was born in Vegreville, Alberta on September 27, 1950.
She accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her versatile work ethic, owning her own Beauty Salon in Lakeview, when living in Yellowknife she worked with the RCMP as well as operating her own daycare later in life.
She will be most remembered for her passion and love for her family. She was completely fulfilled. She loved cooking, baking, she was very artistic and filled many hours doing crafts.
Barb is survived by her children Kimberley Batula (Jamie), Kelly Burgar, David Burgar (Casey) all of Calgary; four grandchildren, Cassidy Burgar, Jonathan Burgar, Julissa Burgar and Brianna Batula all of Calgary; mother Ethel Burgar
Barb is also survived by her siblings Urith, Hiram (Claire) Hugh, Loretta (Andy) ,Roderick (Leslie Anne) and Della (Jim).
Barb was predeceased by her father Joseph Russell, her grandson Jaiden and her sister Donna.
A Memorial Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street NW, (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
