Obituary of Allan Greenwood
It is with great sadness that the family of Allan William Greenwood announces his passing at the Temiskaming Hospital on Wednesday, December 4th, 2019 at the age of 74.
He is survived by his wife Carol Greenwood (Presseault); his two sons, Aaron Greenwood (Kathleen) and Ian Greenwood; his brother, Tom Greenwood (Brenda Giffen); and his granddaughter Olivia (Aaron and Kathleen).
He was predeceased by his wife Julie Greenwood (Steele); and his parents William Greenwood and Gladys Greenwood (Brown).
Allan spent his entire life on his farm in Hudson Township where he raised chickens as a hobby and worked for Campsall Electric as an Electrician and eventually owned it for a time.
Over the years he volunteered with the Boy Scouts organizing the Trees for Canada program and was a member of the Hudson volunteer fire department.
He loved to travel and go camping with his RV and spent many winters down in Florida.
Working in his workshop or using his old John Deere tractor around the farm was always his happy place.
Photos and news of his granddaughter always brought a smile to his face.
The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, December 7th at the Hillview United Church on 65W from 10 a.m. until time for the memorial service at 11 a.m. Rev. Judith Visser officiating.
Those who so desire may make memorial donations in the memory of Allan to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to the Temiskaming Hospital’s Palliative Care.
