Martin, Albert Andrew – After a courageous battle with cancer and with dignity and strength, Albert passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving family on December 21, 2019 at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre – KGH at the age of 78. He is survived by his beloved wife Janet (McAllister) of 48 years. Cherished father of Marnie Martin (Caleb Uptain) of Mesa, AZ, and Ian (Jenn Wales) of Roblin. Dearly loved Grampa of Rylie Uptain. Much loved brother of Dickie (Margie), Eldon (Margaret) and Kenny (Marjorie). He will be dearly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-laws Leon McAllister (Michiele), Elaine Janzer (Jim), Rob (Kathy), Karl (Joanne), Joe McAllister (Cathy). He also leaves behind his many nieces, nephews friends and many other relatives. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Mary Martin and his brothers-in-law Mickey and Wayne McAllister. The family would like to express their sincerest thank you and appreciation to all Albert’s Doctors and especially all the exceptional Nurses in the cancer clinic and chemo room whom offered such compassionate care to him during his illness. « Rest In Peace and watch over us as we carry on, with you forever in our hearts! » In keeping with Albert’s wishes Aquamation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at the Wartman Funeral Home – Kingston Chapel (980 Collins Bay Road) on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Sacred Heart of Mary Church, Wolfe Island at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial donations made in Albert’s memory to the Wolfe Island Fire Department or the Wolfe Island Community Centre would be appreciated by the family.
