The family announces with sorrow her peaceful death at her home surrounded by her family, Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the age of 71. Daughter of the late Alexander and the late Pauline (nee Pachkowski) Wilchowy. Beloved wife of Marcel Groulx (predeceased 2006). Loving mother of Cathy Rochon (husband Marc) of Kingston, Kevin Groulx (wife Andrea) of Kanata. Cherished “Baba” of Christopher and Karley (Chris) of Kingston. Dear sister of Dan Wilchowy (Pat) of The Pas, Manitoba and Ed Sawula (Audrey) of Stettler, Alberta and sister-in-law Linda Groulx of Cutler. Predeceased by her brother Cecil Sawula, brother-in-laws Arthur, David & Henri Groulx, sisters-in-laws Gabrielle Groulx, Lucienne Walnick, Jacqueline Schram, Muriel Tye, Jeanette Popoff and Laurence Cloutier. Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother and most treasured grandmother. Judy was instrumental in advocating for the rights of the disabled and involved in the community. The family will receive friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 RR15, Chelmsford on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 2-5 pm and 7-9:30 pm. Service to be held in funeral home chapel on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:30 am followed by interment at cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Independent Living Centre Kingston and UHKF at KGH (Cancer Centre).
