Obituary of Theresa Eva Rauscher
Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on November 25, 2019 at the Welland Hospital in her 90th year.
Predeceased by her loving husband Julius (2013).
Dear mother of Julius (Donna) Rauscher, Joanne (Paul) Kopczinski and Nancy (Randy) Coakley. Loving and proud grandmother of Gregg Rauscher, Jennifer Kopczinski (Tyler Clayton), Matthew (Lani) Kopczinski, and Mitchell and Erin Coakley. Adoring “G.G. Theresa” of Theodore Kopczinski. She leaves behind her sister Elizabeth (Joe) Groszeibl, sisters in law Theresa Barth and Margaret (Frank) Borgmann, brother in law John (Bev) Rauscher and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Jakob and Juliana Barth, brothers Joseph, Jack and Nick Barth and sisters Katarina, Rozina and Juliana.
Nothing brought her greater joy than her family. She was known for her delicious cooking, sweet treats and baked goods and her green thumb. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting for family and friends, playing bingo and outings to the Casino.
The family extends sincere thanks to the staff and her friends at St. Charles Village for their support throughout the years.
Theresa’s family will receive family and friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, November 28, 2019 in the Armstrong Chapel at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Mount St. Joseph Cemetery, Port Colborne.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
