HESS, Robert – On Nov. 20, 2019, in his 83rd year, Bob passed away peacefully at the Bridge Hospice in Warkworth with family by his side. For 54 years he was the loving husband of the late Doreen Hess (McMaster) and amazing father of Tara Hess, J.D. Hess (Nancy), Erin Babcock (Jay) and Britt Logan (Tony). He was also a fun-loving uncle to Donna, Kelly, and Ken. Predeceased by his parents Delmar and Elsie Hess and his brother, Willard and sister, Ida. Born in Cottam, Ontario on July 3, 1937, Bob was a quiet, gentle, hard-working man. He started out as a bread delivery man, then a transport driver, plant manager at Stokely’s (Whitby), Produce Processors and Stouffers (Trenton) and finally the owner of Tech-Can Trent tire repair. Bob was a longtime farmer and member of the Canadian Hereford Association. In his later years, Bob was often seen in Kingston driving around with his furry side-kick Frankie in his red Sport Trac. Our humble father will always be remembered for his dry sense of humour and his unconditional love and support for all of his children and grandchildren.
