Robert « Bobby » John Mahar
April 20, 1954 – November 19, 2019
It is with deepest sadness that the family announces the passing of Robert John Mahar of Fredericton, NB which occurred on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on April 20, 1954 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Charles and Doris (DeLong) Mahar. He was a loving dad and a very proud Grandpa.
Bobby is survived by his daughter, Ashley Gamblin of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Edward Mahar (Carolyn Porter), Charles Mahar (Catherine); sisters, Dorothy Barkhouse (Gerald), Marjorie Whitlock (Bertram); grandchildren, Savannah Drummond and Sara Drummond; several nieces and nephews, In addition to his parents; he was predeceased by his sister, Betty McCoy, and aunt, Ina DeLong.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11 am with Rev. Neville Gosman officiating. Interment will take place at the Dayton Cemetery at a later date.
