Obituary of Natalina Ferlaino
The family of Natalina are saddened to announce her passing on Sunday, November 24, 2019, exactly one month short of her 88th birthday. She was the beloved wife of Domenico (predeceased 2006) for over 50 years; she was the most devoted and loving mom of Lina Clemente (Carmine), Peter Ferlaino (Madeleine) and Sandra DeGregorio (Gino). All her grandchildren adored her, and she adored them; Cathy Fabiano (Paul Bourdages), Lori Ireton-Paul (Brendan), Jessica Brown (Gordon), Sadie Ferlaino (Jonny Ambeault), Morgan DeGregorio (Alex Sarno) and Lexi DeGregorio. She doted on her great grandchildren, Carmen Fabiano and A.J. Fabiano. Lola will miss her too. Mom was the last of her siblings (all predeceased) and the last living member of the Aiello Family (Carmine & Pasqualina). Mom is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Sault Ste. Marie, Toronto, Windsor, Vancouver and Italy, too numerous to name whom she loved dearly and who also loved her. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at 1:00 p.m. at St. Gregory’s Church with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie would be appreciated. We would like to thank the wonderful and compassionate residents, PSW’s and nurses at the Finnish Resthome Kotitalo. She always referred to you as her second family. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses on 3A at the SAH who took care of Mom during her brief stay. Mom worked all her life to make sure everything and everyone was taken care of. Suffice it to say that she worked harder than most men. She always put the needs of others before herself. Mom, we miss you already and will love you forever.
