Lynn Elburne Gilliss
1955 – 2019
Lynn Elburne Gilliss of Napan, NB, companion of Heather Mullin, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the age of 64. Born in Napan, NB, Lynn is the son of Rita (Adams) Gillis and the late Lloyd Gilliss. Lynn was a Long Haul Transport Driver by profession.
Lynn is survived by his companion: Heather Mullin; his mother: Rita Gilliss; two daughters: Carla Gilliss of Dorchester, NB and Penny Lucas (Roy) of Saint John, NB; five sisters: Estelle Olsen of Chatham, NB, Myrna Dickson (Bliss) of Napan, NB, Coral Johnston (Rick) of Bay du Vin, NB, Karlene Gilliss (Julia) of Napan, NB and Trina Sobey of Miramichi, NB; five brothers: Calvin Gilliss of Fredericton, NB, Morris Gilliss (Heather) of Alberta, Byron Gilliss (Sally) of Napan, NB, Dwayne Gilliss (Theresa) of Russellville, NB and Clinton Gilliss (Corrine) of Eel Ground, NB; two grandchildren: Alexandria Gilliss and Olivia Lucas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Lynn is predeceased by his father: Lloyd Gilliss; one brother: Elwood as well as companion Diane Woods.
Visitation will held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, on Friday, November 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi on Satuday, November 16th at 11 AM with Reverend Charlene Maguire-Macknight officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mark’s United Church Cemetery, Douglastown.
As expressions of sympathy, in Lynn’s memory, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
