It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Louise Lily Pierini at the age of 84 after a stoic battle with cancer. Louise is survived by longtime friend and companion, Nick Kozoriz. Endearing auntie to many nieces and nephews who loved her deeply. Cherished friend of the Kozoriz families. She celebrated many happy occasions with them over the years. Born in Creighton Mine, she was the youngest of 11 children born to Rinaldo and Maria Pierini (nee Tracanelli). Predeceased by siblings Margaret Bettiol, Rose Ulhorn, Rita Mullen, Ted Pierini, Josie Ransom, Lawrence Pierini, Jean Borton, and Gino, Joe, and John Pierini. Survived by her sister-in-law Bonnie Pierini. Louise was a humble and sweet soul with a kind heart. She found joy in and appreciation for the simplest of things in life – spending time with friends and family. She loved listening to country music, socializing at Burger King and the National, and of course, playing bingo. Her love of life and people were infectious. She always welcomed visitors and staff at the hospice with a big smile and cheery hello. Sincerest gratitude to the staff of caring, compassionate volunteers, PSWs, nurses, and doctors, who made Louise’s final journey a “happy” one. Their dedication and genuine regard for their patients was evident by her deep affection for them. When they assisted her, she would reach for their hands and say, “I like you”. Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated. Rest in peace, sweet lady (little peanut); we will miss you.
