The youngest child of Ellard and Alma (Mittelsteadt) Brose. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church. Karl grew up in Eganville and enjoyed hunting and fishing from a very young age and he passed that love of the sport onto his children which they all enjoyed together. Karl Worked at various jobs throughout the years which included Eganville Creamery, the Local Train Station, LCBO, Lisk’s Bakery, L.E Schauer Plumbing and Greenwood Paving where he retired.
In June of 1968 he married Jeanne McCabe. Together they raised 3 children, Doug, Don and Julie. Karl and Jeanne remained in their first home on Bonnechere Street in Eganville for 29 years before deciding to move to Combermere and then onto Bancroft. They soon were lonesome for Eganville and returned back to their hometown.
Karl will be truly missed by his wife and best friend Jeanne and his children Doug and Julie (Arthur) Neitzel. Karl is survived by his brother Bill (Shirley), brother-in-law Bill Morrison, sisters-in-law Judy Kuno and Margo McCabe. He is predeceased by his son Don, and also his sister Marie Morrison.
Final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville. Following Karl’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Royal Canadian Legion Eganville Branch 353. All are welcome to gather from 10:00 – 11:30am with a service being held at 11:30am. Reception to follow.
