Obituary of Janice Pickering
PICKERING: Janice Lynn –
A lifelong resident of Blenheim, Janice Pickering passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with her family at her side on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the age of 59.
Born in Chatham, Janice was the daughter of the late W. Glen and Barbara (Belanger) Pickering.
Beloved sister of Betty Kinney (Phil) of Wallaceburg, Robert Pickering (Angela) of Blenheim, Bruce Pickering (Diana) of Windsor, Glenna Pickering (Mark North) of Blenheim and Carla Doan (James) of Blenheim. Predeceased by her siblings Bill Brundritt, Dianne St. Pierre, Ronnie Brundritt and Wayne Pickering. Sister-in-law to Eloise Brundritt of British Columbia and Gary St. Pierre of Courtright.
Treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews. Also missed by many friends and extended family
Janice was an avid bowler in both Blenheim and Ridgetown. She was a huge Toronto Maple Leaf fan and enjoyed watching any and all sports. She was a member of the former Blenheim Moose Lodge, and more specifically the ‘Happy Gang’, who would perform lip sync concerts at a number of senior’s homes in the area. Janice was known for her ‘Elvis act’.
Janice will be remembered for her fighting spirit, her independence and her forthcoming personality. She was very sincere and fiercely loyal to her family and friends.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 with Robert Cofell officiating. Cremation to follow with a private family interment to be held at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. At Janice’s request, everyone is invited to wear their favourite sports jersey for the service.
Donations made in memory of Janice to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, V.O.N. or the Pet and Wildlife Rescue would be appreciated.
