Elson Gomes
The most patient, kind and gentle soul has passed on November 22, 2019 at the age of 98 years. Loving husband to Maria with whom he celebrated 72 years of marriage. Beloved father to Peter (Jackie) Gomes, Mary Jane Gomes, James (Pam) Gomes, Annie (Jim) Atkinson and Maureen Gomes (Michael Adams). Precious grandfather to Michael (Marcy) Gomes, late Suzanne Savin, Gabrielle Clarke (Pete Barbour), Charlotte (Alek) Stojanov, Angela (Ron) Seguin, Amanda (Josh) Shuttleworth, Stephen Gomes (Nadia Barzotto) and David (Kristin) Gomes. Great-grandfather to Jordan, late Jessica, Gaebrielle, Gabe, Maxx, Michael, Preston, Matthew, Leo, Dash, Kaden, Hudson, Adleigh and Dara. Dear son of the late Carlos, Elsa and Elva Gomes. Dear brother to the late Joyce, Mary and Camille, survived by siblings Cynthia, Andrew, John, Charles and Michael.
Elson’s family would like to send a very special thank you to the staff of Heron Terrace, your kindness and compassion will always be remembered. Thanks for your service in WWII, Dad (including Normandy-Juno Beach on D+6), for all your hard work and loving care of Mom and us all. Travel safely.
