After graduation, Ella joined the RCAF Women’s Corp and served as an Aircraft Recognition Instructor during WWII. One of her highlights during this time was going to New York City and seeing Frank Sinatra. Besides raising her family, she taught elementary school, adult literacy and mentored children with their reading. In her eighties, she travelled with her children to numerous European and Caribbean countries. She lived a full life right to the end. The family would like to thank all the staff of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home for all the care and attention mom/mum received during her 6 years. She truly loved her time there.
