Peacefully, in her sleep, on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Peter D. Clark Centre. Predeceased by her husband, Harvey Powell, her sister Ruth Bennet, and her brother Clifford Haw. Beloved mother of Melissa Powell (Mike Coghlan) and Sheila Powell (Jim Burant). Devoted grandmother to Eric Burant (Merry Watkins) and Ross Burant (Mackenzie Salhany). Eileen’s family is very grateful for the compassionate care she received over the past ten years from the staff and volunteers of Unitarian House, Carlingwood Retirement Community, and Peter D. Clark Centre. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) on Monday, December 2, 2019 after 11 a.m. A Celebration of Eileen’s Life will follow in the chapel at 12 noon, with a reception to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be appreciated.
