SMITH, Catherine Jewel “Cathy”– Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Valley Park Lodge on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Robert James “Bob” (2019) for 64 years. Loving mother of the late Joanne, Dianne, Ron (Kym), Terry and Robin (Tom). Cherished grandmother of Shane, Leah, Andrew, Pat, Bradley, Cordell, Vanessa, Felisha, Nash and Logan. Great-grandmother of Dylan, Bella, Lauren, Keiran, Abby, and Maxine. Cherished sister of Roy (Ann), and Dan (Sandra). Dear sister in-law of Chris (Murla), Bill (Ann), and Marg (Jerry). Predeceased by her siblings Joy, Ennie ( Algie) and Bill (Lynn). And her in-laws, Gert (the late Hughie), Jack (Marg) Don and Ron. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St. visitation on Friday from 12 pm to 1 pm. A Memorial Service in Celebration of Catherine’s Life will be held at 1 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. In memory of Catherine, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by her family.
