Born in Moose Jaw SK to Lester Marshall (Les) and Evangeline Melinda (Eva) (Thompson) Chapman on January 4, 1933. She died in Nelson BC on November 18, 2019 with family by her side.
She was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her son Paul, his wife Anita, and her grandchildren Jona, Moss and Cayenne, of Nelson BC, and her brother Dave and sister-in-law Camille, of Judique NS.
She was educated in Moose Jaw and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1953 with a BA in English. After a six-month hitch-hiking tour of Europe with friends in ‘53, she embarked on a career as a journalist for the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, newspapers, and Macleans Chatelaine magazines, in Toronto. Later for the London Free Press, the Kitchener/Waterloo Record, and the Calgary Albertan newspapers. She finished her career with CP Enterprises in public relations in Calgary.
She was a lover of the written word, jazz music, fine food & wine, travel, and most of all, her family.
