Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2019, at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Bette for 48 years. Proud father of Aaron (Laura) and Adam (Deanna). Loving grandfather of Claire and Kara. Brother of Jackie McDonald, Carolyn Henderson (Bill), Lorraine Harvey (Larry). Brother-in-law of Mary Vaina and Leona Murray. Uncle of Richard, Kerry, Christine, David, Tara, Crystal, Jason, Jennifer and their families. Predeceased by parents Florence and Lyman, parents-in-law Ona and Jonas Vaina, brother Mike and brother-in-law Ian McDonald. Brian retired from Stelco after dedicating 37 years to the company. He was an avid golfer and for
many years enjoyed volunteering at Century Pines Golf Course. Brian loved vacationing with his family and bowling with his friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Dan Carter and his palliative team of Tamara and Suzanne, the nurses on F4 at Juravinski Hospital and the nurses and staff at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their love and compassion. A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 2-4 pm. Donations can be made to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
