Claughton, William Lawrence (Retired Staff Sergeant, York Regional Police)
Peacefully at MacKenzie Health, Richmond Hill, on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the age of 66 years with family present. Bill Claughton, of Georgina, beloved father of Doug and his wife Maureen of Georgina, Mike and his wife Jenn of Angus, and Julie MacNeil and her husband Duane of Sherwood Park, Alberta. Loving Papa of Elysha, Leah-May, Andrew, Rylyn, Owen, Austin, and Brooklyn. Dear brother of Lorraine Hackenbrook and her husband Ken, and Faye Kerr and her husband Jim. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, the hockey community, friends and his dog Sadie. Cremation has taken place with private interment, Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at « The Shed », 600 Stonehaven Avenue, Newmarket, Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. with reflections at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Al-Anon Society or a charity of your choice.
