Passed away surrounded by his family, on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital at the age of 60.
He will be greatly missed by many family members, especially by his brother Brad Myers and his sister-in-law Diane Myers.
Proud father of Chrissy, Leeanne and Ashley, the three loves of his life!
He has such love and respect for his sons-in-law, he cherished the happiness and children they gave us.
Our father was a hard working, family man, he gave us the best that he had with his heart full. Dad was the most gentle and patient man who had lots of love to give. He taught us our most treasured values and a lesson was always to be learned. A few favourites were “if you are happy, you are rich”, “always live life to the fullest” and “Family is everything”.
We loved our family dinners, especially dad’s BBQing, our family talks, our famous dance and garage parties always brought lots of laughs and we will never forget all the corny dad jokes. Our Florida trip was the best surprise, fishing was a favourite and we always tackled family challenges and renovations together. Dad had a strong passion for woodworking and his quality of craftsmanship, he was extremely talented.
He was the favourite dad of many childhood friends and always made everything ok. He was our dad, he was our kids papa, he was our best friend and he will always be our hero. You were taken from us too soon, we love you and will forever miss you.
Ron’s family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
