NORMAN “NORM” ALBERT HENDRICK
1935 – 2019
After a long courageous battle with illness, Norman Albert Hendrick of Vienna passed away at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 63 years to Dorothy (Bradt) Hendrick. Proud and lovng father of Donna Warboys (Terry), Linda Ward (Trevor), Gary Hendrick and father-in-law of Wayne Warboys. Cherished grandfather of Dustin, Christopher, Courtney (Pete), Kendall (Johann) and great-grandson Tyson. Dear brother-in-law of Rosaire Sterling and Gail Hendrick. Norm is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Eleanor (Beamer) Hendrick, daughter Norma Warboys, granddaughter Breanna, 2 sisters Dorothy, Ruth and 2 brothers Buck and Donnie. Norm was an avid sports enthusiast. He was an active hockey player with the Tillsonburg and Port Burwell Old Timers, he was also a baseball player and umpire for many years in Tillsonburg and Port Burwell. Norm spent his working career as a truck driver and did so until the age of 70 years old. Friends and relatives will be received by Dorothy and her family at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm The Funeral Service for Norm will follow at 5:00 pm with Pastor Buck Buchner officiating. Private family interment at St. Luke’s Cemetery, Vienna. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
