Obituary of Marie Helpard
HELPARD Shirley “Marie”
Marie passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Survived by and loving mother of William Carter (Diane Young), Robert Helpard (Jennifer Helpard), and Michael Helpard (Brenda Helpard) and beloved sister Leah Wood. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Kyle, Eric, Stefanie, Elizabeth, Megan and Amy. Cherished great-grandmother of Sammy. Predeceased by her granddaughter Dakota and her loving parents Robert and Mary “Viola” Huntley. Marie dedicated her life and career to helping other people and went back to school to become a nurse while raising a family. Marie worked many years at the Participation House in Binbrook and passed her love of animals on to her family. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek.
