Ode to Joy
Joy Alice Mae Schimmens Graham passed on to the next world on October 1, 2019 at Miramichi Lodge in Pembroke, Ontario in the company of her daughter, Andrea Graham, and her son-in-law, Robin Baker. She was welcomed in to the loving arms of her mother, Alice Bertha Yourth (Golden Lake), her father, Frank Schimmens (Letterkenny), her husband, Robert “Jack”son Graham (Pembroke), and her sons, Christopher, and James (survived by Sarah (Sally) Killin). Joy will be greeted and missed by all of those who have had the good fortune to have known her in her 89 years: family, school friends, nursing classmates and colleagues, Burger King buddies, Ajax Holy Trinity Anglicans, the Caribbean Connection, travelling companions, community choir members, the Osteo Group, Red Hatters, “Live at the Met”ers, Pembroke First Presbyterians, and 3B at Miramichi.
A huge « thank you » to the dedicated souls and loving hearts who cared for her with such kindness.
Joy’s funeral will be held at All Saint’s in Whitby on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 11am.
Donations to the Miramichi Lodge Foundation for their excellent care or to a charity meaningful to you and Mom would be most appreciated.
