Jamie C. O’Hanley
1969-2019
It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of Jamie Cory
O’Hanley, 50, of Cape Tormentine, peacefully at his
home on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 surrounded by his loving
family. Born in Sackville, Jamie is a son of Gary and Lorena
(Allen) O’Hanley.
Jamie was a lobster fisherman, having
fished for 41 years, starting with his father when he was
nine. He was an avid hunter and was actively involved with
the Cape Tormentine Legion. He was a loving husband, father
and grandfather with a knack for teasing everyone.
Jamie passed away on his tenth wedding
anniversary and will be dearly missed by his wife, Yvonne (nee
Blacklock), Cape Tormentine; his children, Tristan, Bayfield, Emmylou
(Gordie), Amherst, Dusty (Jason), Petitcodiac, Shelby (Corey), St.
Paul, NB, Cassidy (Kyle), Fredericton; eight grandchildren, Gracie,
Markus, Riley, Zoey-Ann, Miah, Otis, Sophia, and Khloe, as well as a
much anticipated grandchild on the way.
In addition, he will be sadly missed by
his parents, Gary and Lorena O’Hanley, Bayfield; two brothers, Todd,
Bayfield and Jonathan (Judy), Murray Corner; as well as one nephew,
Mackenzie (Heidi), of Cape Spear, and his mother-in-law, Edith
Blacklock of Timber River. He will also by missed by his
beautiful Lab, Lexi.
He was predeceased by his father-in-law,
Leonard Blacklock.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of the Jones Funeral Home, 70
Bridge Street, Sackville, (506-364-1300). Honouring Jamie’s wishes,
cremation has taken place. There is to be no visitation or
services at this time.
Donations in memory of Jamie may be made
to the Canadian Cancer Society.
