GRAY. James Ivan ~ Age 79 passed away at home October 17, 2019. Born in Carmen, Manitoba he was a son of the late George and Annie (Haycock) Gray. James began his working years by joining the military and made it his life long career, retiring in 1994 from the R.C.A.F. He was a member of the Ken Wo Bridge Club and was proud to be a Life Master. James loved his vineyard and was past president of the Grape Growers Association of Nova Scotia. James also spent many hours doing woodworking. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his daughters, Colleen Gray (Francois Raiche), Laval, Que., Darlene Gray, Windermere, NS; sisters, Rexine Adolphson, Provost, AB, Linda Burtnick, Graysville, MB; grandson, Jason Lavallee (Jessica Nini) and great grandson, Zachary Lavallee. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Dawson); sister, Willene Johnson and brother, Keith. A Celebration of Life will be held 2 PM to 5 PM on November 2nd at the family residence. Donations in James’s memory can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
