Passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Cindy Godda (Tracey). Much loved father to Thomas (Karen), Michael (deceased), Patricia (Tom) and Wayne (Johanne). Loving Poppa to Tamara, Scott (Megan), Sean (Amanda), Sheri (Marty), Meagan (Steven) and Michael. Dear great grandfather to Destiny, Kingston, Luke and Hallie. Beloved companion of Beatrice Wilson. Valued the friendship of the Wilson family. Gerry was predeceased by his brothers Tom, Jack and William. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and friends.
Gerry was born in Maynooth, Ontario and spent most of his life in Renfrew. He was a retired millwright from Haley Industries who enjoyed driving his pontoon boat on the Ottawa River and telling a good joke. He was a person of faith which he said came from his mother’s influence.
Visitation for Gerry will be held at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew, 22 Raglan St. S. On Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9pm . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Renfrew on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 11am. Interment to follow in parish cemetery.
