Obituary of Freda Coady
Coady, Lillian “Freda”- On October 24, 2019 Dad arrived and took our mom on her final journey. It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Freda Lillian Coady, 90 of the Valley View Villa, Riverton formerly of Kirk Avenue, Stellarton which occurred at the Villa.
Born in Stellarton she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Frances(Williamson)Eaton.
Freda was a resident of the Villa for the past 5 years having previously resided on Kirk Avenue in Stellarton. She operated a Hairdressing business out of her home for many years, and loved to quilt. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Stellarton.
She is survived by a daughter Dorie(Bud)Poore, Westville; a son Darrell(Marion), Loch Broom; grandchildren: Valerie, Roslynn, Shaun, Amanda and Barry, 10 great-grandchildren and a twin brother Sonny.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert of 64 years, a son Bobby, a son Gary in infancy and a daughter Carol in infancy.
Her remains will rest at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton for visiting after 2pm Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Monday from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson presiding. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Reception to follow the burial in the Sister Catherine Steele Center.
Donations in memory of Freda may be made to the Valley View Villa, Riverton.
