Dorothy « Dottie »‘s Obituary
CLEVELAND, Dorothy Jean “Dottie” ~ Age 101, of Kingston, Kings Co., formerly of Kentville, Kings Co., passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019, in Kennedy’s Home for Seniors, Kingston. Born on August 14, 1918, in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Charles and E. Muriel (Rafuse) Swinamar. Dottie had retired as a proof reader with the Kentville Advertiser. She has a member of St. James Anglican Church, Kentville, where she had been actively involved in years passed. Dottie loved knitting gardening and time spent watching the birds. Surviving are her grandchildren, Trevor, Tammy and Wanda; several great grandchildren; one niece and several nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Arthur “Sonny” Cleveland; grandson, William “Billy” Cleveland; sisters, Edna and Gladys. A private graveside service will take place, in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, with Rev. Mel Malton officiating. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Kings Co.
