Delorice Chevarie
1924-2019
SAINT-CHARLES, NB – Delorice Chevarie, 95, of Penobsquis, NB
passed away peacefully at the Sus Health Center on Tuesday, October
8, 2019. Born in Saint-Charles, she was the daughter of the
late Joseph E. Chevarie and late Alice (Allain)
Chevarie.
Delorice will be sadly missed by her six daughters, Yvette
Testa (Albert) of St. Andrew’s, Alida Richard
(André) of Penobsquis, Lydia Gibbons (Rick) of
Black’s Harbour, Jeannine Doiron (Donald) of
Black’s Harbour, Mary Anne Chevarie (Mark) of Beaver
Harbour, Diane Cormier (Gerald) of Black’s Harbour; five
sons, Yvon Chevarie (Yvonne) of Black’s Harbour, Emile
Chevarie (Marie) of St. Charles, Gerald Chevarie of Passekeag, Peter
Chevarie (Daisy) of Moncton, Norman Chevarie of Hampton; twenty-two
grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and four great great
grandchildren.
She is also survived by three sisters, Roseanna Blanchard
(late Fidéle) of Quispamsis, Yvonne LaPointe (Normand) of
Quebec, Mary Anne Bastarache (Fred) of Pennfield; sisters-in-law,
Doris Chevarie of Sackville, Merrill Chevarie of Saint John; former
daughter-in-law, Debbie Chevarie of Ottawa and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Laurie Chevarie; one son, Emile; one infant grandson, Robert; four
sisters, Lydia, Nelida, Florida, infant Roseanna; eight brothers,
Isreal, Armand, Odilas, Leonard, Alyre, Vincent, Theodore and infant
Joseph.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9, Saturday at 9:00 am
until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11:30 am, St. Charles
Borromée Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Charles.
Donations in Delorice’s memory may be made to the New
Brunswick Heart & Stroke Foundation and would be appreciated
by the family. Arrangements are in care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto
